News & Info

Next Club Meeting & Tournament :

  • Club Meeting: Tuesday,  June 11th, 7:00PM. Location to be determined and announced via email and updated here.  
  • Next Tournament:  Dunlap/Placid, May 18th and 19th
  • Tournament Times: Saturday 6:15-3:00 with weigh in at the Dunlap I35 bridge launch and Sunday 6:15-2:00 with weigh in at the Placid I10 bridge launch.

 

News :

  • QBC Top 6 Team 2013 State Tournament Results: Finished 24th and congratulations to Mike Robbins for big bass (8.49#) of the tournament.

  • Top 6 Team Places 5th at 2012 State Tournament: Trevor Rogge, Mike Robbins, Robert Dunlap, Mark Lachenauer, Bob Meder and Ruben Arevalos put together three day's worth of strings on Amistad for a total weight of 233.54 pounds to finish fifth out of 47 teams. Good job, Top 6!
  • Club Record Big Bass: Ruben Arevalos caught a club record 11.97# on Falcon Lake February 19, 2012.  See Picture.
  • Club Record One Day and Two Day Heavy Stringers: Trevor Rogge captured the club record one day and two day heavy stringers. See archive page.
  • Quality Bass Club granted tax exemption: The Internal Revenue Service determined QBC meets tax exempt status under code 501(c)(7) as a Sports and Recreation organization. See letter. 
  • Remember, boat insurance is everyone's responsibility. Please keep your policy current.  
  • Effective January 2008, Mexico boat permits are no longer required. See story 
  • 1988-2008 Quality Bass Club celebrated twenty years. 

 

Events :

  • Fishing for Freedom IX:  October 13th, 2012. Another successful event, thanks to all sponsors and supporters. See results and pictures.   
  • Annual Fish Fry, Raffle and Auction:   August 25th, 2012. Club members, please download a thank you letter to send to your supporters. Thanks to their support the club raised over $1600.
  • Fishing for Freedom VIII:  Another wonderful successful event, thanks to all sponsors and supporters. See results and pictures.   
  • Annual Fish Fry, Raffle and Auction:   August 20th, 2011. Thanks to all participants and sponsors/supporters for another great event. Club members, please download a Thank You letter to send to your supporters.
  • Fishing for Freedom VII:  Again, thanks to our wonderful sponsors and supporters for making the wounded soldiers' day of fishing and comraderie a day they'll remember. See Results and Pictures   
  • Annual Fish Fry, Raffle and Auction:   August 21st, 2010. Thanks to participants and sponsors we raised close to $3500 for the club. Club members can download a thank you letter template that can be personalized to give to supporters.  
  • Fishing for Freedom VI:  October 17th, 2009. Another successful event thanks to the Valero volunteers, Army Bass Anglers, volunteer boaters, Brian cooking at the Calliham Store and all the Quality Bass Club members who pitched in, including everyone else who helped.   • Annual Fish Fry, Raffle and Auction:   August 22nd, 2009. Thank you to all who supported our annual Fish Fry, Raffle and Auction. We raised approximately $1600.00 to support community and club events.
  • Fishing for Freedom V:  October 25th, 2008, Choke Canyon Reservoir.  See pictures & results |  See Air Force Link story.
  • 2008 Annual Fish Fry, Raffle and Auction:  August 23rd, 2008. This year's fundraiser was another very successful event. Thanks to all sponsors and participants we raised over $2400.
